Yes, we work with your Global Procurement team out of CINC and have an updated Master Services agreement. We work with CINC, CIRL, WCE and CWS at this time.Â
Yes, we have agreed pricing, and we can provide a rate sheet upon request. For any specific workflows or services not listed, we’re happy to negotiate per-project rates. The cost of a translation project depends on factors such as language pair, nature and length of content, and desired turnaround time. We ensure transparent pricing and work with Cook Medical requestors to tailor solutions to meet your budget and timeline, using technology to maximize savings.
We work however you wish to. For some Cook entities we use email and ftp, and for others we use a portal for workflow management.Â
We provide translation certificates upon request, which can be issued in various ways, such as one per language, one per file or one per project. We can include the translation certificate as part of the standard delivery package if preferred by your team. There are minimum translation process requirements for issuing certificates, and our standard processes with Cook Medical are designed to always meet or exceed those requirements.
We do have glossaries and style guides, and the differentiate for different content types.Â
We try to avoid rush fees. Giving us a little advance notice sometimes suffices to mean we can waive them. But if we have to ask linguists to work weekends or holidays, we pay them extra and do pass on the rush fee to the client. The fee is 40%.Â
We do not use AI or machine translation in any project unless explicitly agreed upon with the client. For Cook Medical, these technologies are not part of our standard process. Any exceptions to this policy are typically reserved for urgent, one-off cases where the content is intended for informational purposes and where the requestor is comfortable with the associated quality risks, rather than when the content is for publication or regulatory submission.
Vistatec is behind many successful translation and localization projects for global life sciences organizations. We have been working with Cook Medical for over 10 years, starting with the global Marketing team, and now with Corporate, Labelling and others.Â
