Connect to Vistatec FTP Service
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a way to transfer files over the Internet. sFTP (secure FTP) is a secure method of FTP that encrypts files while they are being transferred.
The FTP Server is available at ftp.vistatec.com
Requirements:
The end user will need logon credentials supplied by Vistatec in advance.
Access Methods
Access from a Browser
Access from an FTP Client – Filezilla
Access from an FTP Client – WinSCP
To access from a browser:
Got to the URL: https://ftp.vistatec.com

At the displayed prompt login with the Vistatec supplied FTP server credentials

Navigate to the folder as instructed by Vistatec.
UsersIncoming folder is for files incoming to Visatec so you can upload new files here
UsersOutgoing folder is for files outgoing from Vistatec so you can only read files here.
Projects Folder contains specific Project Related folders
Log out of the browser session when finished.
To access from an FTP Client – Filezilla
Download and install the latest version of the Filezilla FTP client from https://filezilla-project.org/
Filezilla Connection setup
Launch FileZilla

In the menu bar go to File and choose Site Manager
Click New Site and name it ftp.vistatec.com
In the General TAB enter details as follows
From Protocol: List choose SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol
In Host: field enter ftp.vistatec.com
In Logon Type: choose Ask for password
In the User: field enter the logon username as supplied by Vistatec

If you wish to have a local default folder for file transfers go to the Advanced TAB
In Default local directory: click the Browse button and choose the desired folder.
Click OK button to save the details in the Filezilla Site Manager
Filezilla Connection Usage
Find the ftp.vistatec.com entry under My Sites: and click the Connect Button

You will be prompted to enter the FTP account password and then click OK button
On first time login it will ask you to trust the Server key and add it to your cache so you are not prompted again

Tick the Always trust this host, add this key to the cache and click the Ok button
You are now in the Filezilla main panel ready to transfer files back and forth.

On Left Hand side is your local PC folder and on the Right Hand side is Vistatec’s FTP server folder structure.
Navigate and Drag & Drop files are required.

When finished close down the Filezilla client or in the Filezilla Toolbar the PC icon with the Red X allows you to easily disconnect the current session.

To access from an FTP Client – WinSCP
Download and install the latest version of the WinSCP FTP client from https://winscp.net/eng/download.php (ignoring the advertisements)
WinSCP Connection setup
Launch WinSCP and the login dialog will appear

Leave the File protocol: as SFTP
For Host name: enter in ftp.vistatec.com
Leave Port number: as 22
Complete the User name: and Password: fields with the details as supplied by Vistatec.
If you wish to have a local default folder for file transfers click on the Advanced button
Under Environment choose Directories and under Local directory: click the button with 3 dots

Navigate to the desired folder then Click OK button to return to the Login screen.
Click the Save button to save the site details for future use.

Click OK to save the site.
WinSCP Connection Usage
Find the [email protected] under the Login Workspace and click the Login Button

You will get the login screen prompting for the password

Enter the password and choose OK
This brings you to the main WinSCP screen
