The Role

The Production BI specialist will be primary support for the for regular and ad-hoc reporting to management on client side as well as for internal production teams and management teams. They will work with stakeholders gathering and evaluating BI requirements and managing BI projects from inception, development and continuing support. They will also work with and liaise with the wider technical teams.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop Power BI reporting modules for production related reporting modules, working with various stakeholder requirements
  • Responsible for improvements to existing reporting functions
  • Develop forecasting models for localisation review services
  • Creation of structure and documentation in the area of production reporting
  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of standard KPIs
  • Analysis of KPI reports and proactive, ad-hoc deep dive reporting based on findings from initial output
  • Work with SQL queries and summarize parameters/assumptions in layman's terms
  • Regular stakeholder communication and senior audience presentation

Requirements

  • A 3rd Level or master’s qualification in a relevant discipline (data or computer sciences)
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Technical Skill Requirements:
    • Experience in optimizing Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testing, and standardization
    • Strong expertise in Power BI Development, including Power Query and DAX for complex measure development
    • Experience incorporating R and Python into PowerBI
    • Experience using SSRS and Excel as a complement to the Power BI platform
    • Advanced Excel skills: Pivot tables, formulas, macros, charts and graphs
    • Strong experience writing T-SQL queries, views, Stored Procedures and functions
    • Familiarity with Sharepoint
    • MS Powerpoint: Intermediate to Advanced skills using charts in PPT and designing slides
  • Experience of translating business requirements and design into technical solutions, ensuring effective cross team cooperation and deployment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amounts of data over multiple, complex datasets with attention to detail and accuracy in analysing trends or patterns in the data
  • Technical proficiency working with and troubleshooting different computer platforms, tools and ability to understand proprietary systems
  • Proven ability and willingness to learn new tools
  • Independent thinker and self-starter attitude & thrives on challenge of setting up new processes and environments
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills, written, face-to-face and online
  • Ideally experience working in a multicultural environment

 Advantageous Skills

  • Experience in the Localisation Industry
  • Experience in other BI tools is an advantage (i.e. Oracle BI, Tableau, Qlickview, etc.)
  • Experience with collaborative online tools such as MS OneDrive, Google Drive, Sheets and Slides is a plus
