Vistatec, a global leader in the supply of localization solutions, is looking for a Program Manager to join our team. This role will involve key aspects of implementing a centralized localization program framework for our clients, defining standardized processes and structured governance to building a centre of excellence for global content and translation. Core elements of the role include interacting with client stakeholders and divisions, defining and documenting localization workflows and hand-shakes, and advising on best practice.

The Program Manager must demonstrate leadership and client facing skills, an ability to plan, and a detail-oriented project management focus. The successful candidate will have experience of providing business support, scoping client requirements and implementing best practice for project delivery while ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities 

  • Defining/re-defining localization framework and governance (processes, process handshakes, roles, responsibilities, controls, systems, reporting etc.)
  • Establishing/Enhancing the quality infrastructure (process input/outputs, source quality, language assets)
  • Creating/maintaining comprehensive process documentation and guidelines
  • Providing localization subject matter expertise to clients’ global content teams
  • Client stakeholder management and education across different functions (web development, editorial, marketing campaign, tools and product teams as well as in-country validators)
  • Globalization advocate and key contributor to content development planning, from a multilingual perspective
  • Driving and reporting on multilingual content initiatives and interdependencies
  • Stewardship of translation assets (TMs, glossaries, style guides, SEO keywords etc) and consistency in quality
  • Relationship management internal customers/budget owners within client organizations
  • Central point of contact for localization activities within client organization
  • Close collaboration with Vistatec internal multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in Localisation (10 years or more)
  • Proven project management expertise (7 years)
  • Available to travel for monthly & quarterly Client meetings
  • Experience managing distributed and remote teams
  • Excellent financial, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve and think strategically in a deadline driven environment
  • Proven ability to deliver superior customer service at all times
  • Familiarity with a dynamic fast turnaround project management office would be a distinct advantage
  • Team player with proven leadership qualities
  • Knowledge of localization tools, TMS systems, workflow and content management systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools will be essential
