The ITLG is a network of technology leaders promoting the connection between Ireland and Silicon Valley.
Stanford University’s Faculty Club provided the appropriate celebratory venue and collegial atmosphere for the 2017 event. Irish CMOs, CFOs, CEOs, SVPs, VPs and marketeers representing a panoply of global technology corporations gathered to exchange thoughts and ideas as well as to acknowledge Silicon Valley’s best of the best Irish leaders.
A universe of stellar speakers such as former Intel CEO and Chairman Craig Barret, recently re-elected Irish Representative Frances Fitzgerald and HP Chief Technology Officer Shane Wall were among the attendees who spoke to a broad range of technology issues that governments and corporations should anticipate in the future. During the dinner event, relevant, recent research, concepts, projections and cutting edge innovations were evaluated and discussed in detail. Craig Barret discussed in detail his concerns over the H1B Visa Program in the midst of an unstable political environment.
Among the fifty 2017 Silicon Valley individuals recognized by the ITLG as ‘the top Irish and Irish American technological leaders that are driving the most disruptive and ground breaking work in tech today’ are Twitter, Square CEO and Founder Jack Dorsey, Autonomic Technologies CEO Niamh Pellegrini, Eastman Kodak Senior VP John O’Grady, Intel VP Margaret Burgraff, Soundhound Inc. VP & GM Katie McMahon and LinkedIn VP & MD EMEA John Herlihy and many more.
Vistatec, globally headquartered in Dublin, with its USA offices in Mountain View, California, were delighted to be in attendance along with Enterprise Ireland, a gold sponsor of ITLG and an Irish state economic development agency. This is the second year that Vistatec has been involved at the Awards. The event helped to showcase the 50 Irish and Irish-American leaders making a significant impact in the tech world. This thought provoking event provided a great opportunity for people to network with top tech leaders in the Valley. Our congratulations to the 2017 Silicon Valley Global Honorees.
