The All Ireland Business Summit brought together over 400 delegates to the conference facilities at Croke Park, Dublin, Europe’s third largest stadium. Speakers shared insights on a range of topics from personal development, increasing productivity and scaling your business to practising tech/life balance.

​​​​​​James Sweetman spoke about personal branding, highlighting that it is essentially about the values, abilities and actions that others associate with you. Declan Coyle, author of The Green Platforms, told his story of how he rose to the challenges of his personal circumstances and how we have the power to choose to be happy. As a leader, you need to dare to be joyful and positive energy will reflect positively on company and customer.

Diversity in the workplace was addressed by Orlaith Carmody, author of Perform as a Leader. Orlaith spoke about how there is an unconscious bias in business and how a more diverse workforce is much more effective; bringing a multidimensional perspective to challenges and problem solving.

Chris Flack from Unplug provided some great tips on how to ‘Unplug’ from technology distractions with a 3-step summary to unplugging with awareness, organisation and focus, and recommendations on the apps to get you there.

Next up was Mick Crean speaking about the global success of Micksgarage.com[SE1] . From what started out as a small e-commerce site for car accessories from his home in Mayo in the west of Ireland Micksgarage.com is now selling a listed 7.2 million car parts and accessories to over 70 countries around the world.

Also set for global success is relaxation drinks company Tranquini, whose Founder and Chief Relaxation Officer, Ahmed Elafifi, provided some insights into its global branding campaign with the tagline Relax, Be Happy, Good Happens. In keeping with this theme, Mentors.ie Chairman Tommy Murray talked about how creating an emotional connection with the brand is key.

These are just a few of the highlights from the day’s line-up which brought together some of the island’s finest entrepreneurial minds, providing a very engaged audience with the benefits of their vast experience, with plenty of storytelling and banter to boot.
