There are many things to look forward to at LocWorld events, and Vistatec is excited to be exhibiting this year! We had the opportunity to catch up with Unn Villius, Chief Sales Officer at Vistatec, ahead of this year’s conference. 

What are you most looking forward to about LocWorld51 Dublin? 

I’m very much looking forward to having LocWorld back in Dublin for the first time in quite a few years. As an Irish-headquartered company, we would also love the opportunity to showcase this wildly successful, modern country with an open economy and a very global spirit.

What do you find to be the most beneficial aspects of LocWorld conferences? 

I love reconnecting with industry peers – it’s so wonderful to be back in person. (I know we have been for a while, but I’m still relishing it.) And, of course, the opportunity to learn from sessions and exhibits alike.

Which topics are you most excited about at this year’s event? 

I’m very interested in the overarching theme of “AI and Beyond.” We have come a long way in one short year, and I feel things are beginning to fall into place with practical AI implementations. I very strongly believe in the human expert in the loop and am quite excited about all the new things we can do, such as spending our creative human energy where it matters.

How has LocWorld evolved alongside the industry over the years? 

It stays very au jour, and the organizers are open to feedback and mixing it up in format to see what works best. I love the PIC and hope it stays forever!

Please tell us anything about your upcoming panel before the conference. 

I won’t say much, but I hope it will be as optimistic and inspirational as possible. My co-panellists and host are fantastic. Our discussion is ‘The Localization Optimist Manifesto.” 

LocWorld51 in Dublin will be a special event for Vistatec. Is there anything else you would like to share before the conference?  

I’m super happy we will exhibit and have a sizable contingent attending. Ireland was so central to the industry evolution starting back in the late 80s, and it remains a great source of talent and innovation to this day, building on an excellent education system, incoming global talent, and a thriving business climate.
